Wednesday 9th - 10th May 2007
Since the North West Manufacturing exhibition moved to the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, a significant increase in the involvement of local companies has been registered. This will be apparent when the doors open at the Reebok Stadium on Wednesday the 9th May 2007.
When the show moved to the Reebok stadium five years ago and regional manufacturing exhibitions were in launched, Paul Taylor, Managing Director at Hyquip attended as a visitor for two consecutive years to get a feel for the event and see if it was for Hyquip.
Seeing many of the “big hitters” from the region’s major manufacturers as fellow-visitors and the growing number of industrial companies exhibiting was convincing evidence that it would be a worthwhile exercise. In 2005 Hyquip booked their first stand. So impressed with quality of companies visiting the show and the level of enquiries and order since Hyquip have decide to return for the 3rd year running on an even bigger stand, thanks to the commitment, support and sponsorship from all its principles; namely Roemheld (Hilma QDC & Vices, Bock, Stark, Mtecs & Kostryka), Carr Lane, Rexroth Bosch, Hydac, Heypac, Enerpac, Ram Power, MiniBooster and Fields Environmental (BioCat).
As he explained, “In the year since the first show two years ago sales at Hyquip have increased in excess of 33%”. He went on “I wouldn’t claim that all the increase can be attributed to the show but this event is now becoming an annual event for Hyquip as it gives us the opportunity to meet with existing and new customers in order to showcase our ‘complete and comprehensive’ product portfolio therefore allowing customers to fully appreciate the spread and technical expertise, that’s why we are back and on a bigger stand”
As a result of exhibiting, Hyquip have won a number of new customers who now place regular orders for a wide range Standard Parts and Machine Accessories, Production Automation, Workholding and Industrial Hydraulic and Pneumatic Components. In addition, Hyquip now receive more comprehensive orders from existing customers who never realised that they could buy such a wide range of industrial equipment from a single source.
Customer’s who knew Hyquip for only one product range and sourced others from different companies, now come to Hyquip for all their Standard Parts, Workholding and Fluid Power needs, often buying in kit form or seek integrated packages. For the customer, a single source supply brings a lot of obvious benefits, especially when backed with local expertise and worldwide support via the original equipment manufacturer.
Hyquip’s portfolio of industrial equipment reads like an extract from the Who’s – Who on the international stage for a standard parts, fluid power and workholding manufacturers’ directory; Carr Lane, Roemheld Group (Roemheld, Hilma QDC & Vices, Stark, Bock, Mtec, Kostyrka…) Rexroth, part of the Bosch Group, Hydac, Heypac, Enerpac, Rampower, miniBOOSTER and Fields Environmental (BioCat) are all represented.
Alongside the above market leading and global component manufacturers can be found a huge range of universal standard parts, machine accessories, workholding and fluid power components. All of the components and parts can be incorporated into standard and bespoke solutions by the Hyquip Engineering Division that embraces fully integrated packages from the actuators to the power unit, hydraulic controls and piping installations. In addition Hyquip also have in-house capabilities to project manage the complete control system which can include fully integrated electrical and pneumatic control systems.
Industrial applications successfully tackled are as diverse as; a simple hand pump and cylinder kit to hydraulic bending machines for rectangular tubular sections, hydraulic systems to automate special purpose machinery, jigs and fixtures; civil installations including swing bridges, lift bridges and dock gates, to test rigs that measure the recoil of a 155mm ultra lightweight field howitzer and lifetime fatigue testing of escalator steps using servo and hydrostatic technology at up to 20Hz. To complement this expertise Hyquip also have installation teams that travel around the UK and further a field. Other than local and UK wide installations, Hyquip have recently completed installations in China, Iceland, Belgium, Jersey and Ireland.
Should you have any questions regarding a current application, want to discuss any products from the above product portfolio, would like to take advantage of a vice, stark zero point clamping system, workholding or BioCat demonstration simply come along and meet the people at Hyquip and its representatives from the original manufacturers.
