Hyquip Environmental Policy
As part of our ISO 9000 : 2000 certified management system Hyquip is committed towards the achievement of ISO 14001.
Hyquip recognises the impact that its business activities and products have on its employees, stakeholders, the public and the environment and as an integral part of achieving ISO 14001 Hyquip will:
  • Comply with environmental legislation by developing and adopting standards and processes based on best practice
  • Develop and maintain the awareness and competence of its employees in order to adequately address environmental issues
  • Demonstrate a positive commitment to the systematic avoidance, reduction and elimination of environmental risks, consistent with sound business practices and procedures
  • Continually measure, monitor and improve performance in waste management
Scope
Hyquip’s environmental policy will cover all aspects relating to:
  • The minimisation of waste, effluents and emissions
  • The reduction of material and water usage
  • Optimisation of energy usage and effective energy management
  • The utilisation of the ‘Product Life Cycle Analysis’ model to determine the environmental impact of raw materials, product use and disposal
  • Implementation of environmental emergency contingency plans

With the support, commitment and backing of the Directors, the Quality Assurance Manager has overall responsibility for implementing Hyquip’s Environmental Policy.    
 
The QA Manager is responsible for the direction, co-ordination, performance review and communication of environmental matters within a framework of regular Management Review Meetings.
 
Under the direction of the QA Manager, Hyquip’s Management Team will provide appropriate encouragement, instruction and training for its employees enabling them to meet and exceed the requirements of ISO 14001.
