WORKHOLDING
& PRODUCTION AUTOMATION
HYQUIP
is a specialist provider of production automation and workholding
solutions. From a single component to a complete system, HYQUIP
engineers will provide expert advice and guidance. With the backing
and support of specialist component manufacturers HYQUIP has product
portfolio second to none. |
|
WORKHOLDING
Workholding is
a key area for HYQUIP. With in-house expertise this can include;
locating, positioning, holding, supporting and clamping components
or assemblies during a manufacturing process. I.e. metal cutting,
machining, welding, assembly or fabrication. The benefits invariably
are: increased productivity, lower production costs, improved machine
utilisation and consistent quality.
The
solution could be a simple booster and hollow ram cylinder to that
of automating an existing fixture, a complex Hilma or Bock vice
system, Stark Zero Point Clamping or swing clamps and work supports
in a jig or fixture. |
|
PRESSWORK
For presswork
applications, hydraulics and pneumatics are excellent sources of
power for punching, bending, forming, riveting, marking, staking
and assembly work, without the need for a conventional press. Compact
power sources and actuators (cylinders and rams) make it possible
for special purpose cellular machines to be manufactured that can
be sited adjacent to another process - possibly some distance from
the press shop. This cellular production approach reduces the amount
of handling and movement of components throughout the factory. |
|
QUICK
DIE CHANGE / QUICK MOULD CHANGE
Quick Die Clamping
- Quick Mould Clamping, (QDC/QMC), is the quick clamping of dies,
press tools and moulds in presses or plastic moulding machinery.
The
benefits to the user are a reduction in time taken to switch production
from one type of component to another, thus eliminating or reducing
the need for massive stocks. This is at the heart of the almost
universally applied JUST IN TIME (JIT) manufacturing culture.

PRODUCTION
AUTOMATION
HYQUIP’s
philosophy is to fully understand the overall manufacturing process
and all of the integration issues to ensure its customers are
provided with the right solution.
We have experience
in all areas and will provide independent advice on the technical
issues, guidance when selecting the right products, and will tender
complete solutions once the design brief and scope of supply has
been determined. From the actuators that provide motion, force
and control to the hydraulic power unit, control circuit and installation,
HYQUIP engineers will ensure that all aspects are dealt with and
that you are supplied with a fully functional and integrated fluid
power solution.
